Why?
Just think of me as a dying kid in the hospital who’s last wish is for SNL to pay for my trip, let me host SNL and of course give me a little spending money to buy SNL-related souveneirs
About me
Hi, my name is Luis Penados, I live in Guatemala. I don’t want to write a lot about me, just know I’m kinda a funky guy! If you want to know more about me, here is my personal website (spanish-only …yet).
Why I’m a fan
I’ve been a Saturday Night Live fan since I remember having cable TV. I haven’t been lucky since very few cable companies here carry NBC. Over time I’ve seen the show all I have been able to, mostly during Sandler/Farley times and Norm McDonald, Kevin Nealon and Colin Quinn as Weekend Update anchors. Those three are my favorite Weekend Update anchors by the way.
It has always seemed to me that SNL is a lot like a family, with it’s father Lorne. Besides the fame for many cast members, they almost always seem to remain good friends and keep their feet on the ground. I admire that a lot. We all know SNL has had it’s up’s and down’s but I’ve been a loyal fan all the time hoping for more Adam Sandlers or Chris Rock’s. Never has SNL let me down (for too long at least). I don’t know much about the show’s future but I think Tina Fey is the daughter Lorne never had and is the most likely heiress. We’ll let time tell if I’m correct, or comments from people who know…
How this website was born
The idea came to me on a tuesday. I had approx. $10 in my personal account and two credit cards maxed-out (I’ve never been good at handling my personal finance). Until the next monthly payment I had almost no money which meant I was eating beans and bread. One night I did eat some street tacos though (the best!! but I was farting them like crazy the next day, I don’t kno why…). So, in these harsh times, at night, watching some TV and Youtube I came across the idea of doing SNL. I figured “what the heck, nothing to lose but my dignity which is not that much” so I spent some of my very last money to buy this domain and started typing on the ol’ laptop.
